YSRCP has strongly condemned the attack on former Minister Perni Nani and former MLA Kaile Anil Kumar in Gudivada today while they were visiting the home of a party leader.
Speaking to the media in Guntur, former minister Ambati Rambabu expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, highlighting that despite the incident occurring hours ago, the police have yet to take any action.
He criticized the behavior of TDP and Jana Sena party workers, who attacked and pelted stones at the former minister and former MLA. He also questioned the police’s inaction, noting that former Minister Botsa Satyanarayana had to intervene by contacting the SP, yet even then, no immediate measures were taken. He expressed serious concerns about the misuse of power, referencing the arrest and subsequent release of Inturi Ravi Kiran, who was detained for a social media post made before the elections. He criticized the TDP government and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for claiming to uphold the law while engaging in illegal activities.
He also warned that continued vindictive actions by the TDP and Jana Sena could lead to significant backlash. He urged the police to act impartially and not succumb to political pressure, emphasizing that such practices could have negative consequences when the government changes. He also condemned government’s inaction during the ongoing flood crisis, suggesting that instead of focusing on helping the flood victims, efforts were being made to create unrest.
