Former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy strongly criticized the TDP coalition government, slamming Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet for completely failing to manage recent flood relief efforts and causing significant harm to the people in Vijayawala .
Speaking to the media in the party office in Nellore, the former minister came down heavily on the Chief Minister for not taking necessary preventive measures ahead of the floods and then shifting the blame onto the opposition for his own inadequacies.
Kakani condemned the statement by Chandrababu blaming IAS and IPS officers, who were not given postings, for the government’s failure in flood relief efforts, calling it highly inappropriate and warned against harassing officials for political gains.
Kakani also questioned the absence of ministers during the ongoing heavy rains and floods, especially when the IMD had already issued warnings. He pointed out that Deputy CM and Minister Nara Lokesh were missing in action when the public needed them the most.
