There is greater increase in the per capita income of Andhra Pradesh during 2019 and 2024, said the Reserve Bank of India. The RBI had released the per capita income of various states on Friday. The report said that there was hike in Andhra Pradesh per capita income.
The report said that the per capita income of Andhra Pradesh showed an increase of Rs 60,128 from 2014-15 to 2018-19. However, from 2019-20 to 2023-24, the increase of per capita income was recorded at Rs 88,448, the RBI said.
The national per capita income which was at Rs 1,52,504 in 2019-20 had gone up to Rs 2,14,951 during 2023-24. The Andhra Pradesh’s per capita income which was at Rs 1,60,341 during 2019-20 had gone up to Rs 2,42,479 during 2023-24, the RBI said in its report.
The government’s cash transfer schemes have taken the lives of the people to a greater heights. People had money in their hands and started spending it in the market. The business activity in the state had a higher gain during the five years of the YSR Congress regime in the state, according to the RBI report.
The per capita income of Andhra Pradesh had gone up from Rs 93,903 during 2014 and 2015 had gone up to Rs 1,54,031 in 2018-19, the five years of Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. However, the per capita income during Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime had increased several times. It went up from Rs 1,60,341 in 2019-20 to Rs 2,42,479 during 2023-24, the RBI report said.
