Respected Sir,
Sub: Your promises to the people during 2024 general elections to the AP Assembly – request for fulfilment – regarding.
Greetings to you from the AP Congress Committee. I would like to bring to your notice your promises to the people during the 2024 general elections to the Andhra Pradesh state Assembly. You have promised, among other things, Super Six, to the people. The Super Six included three gas cylinders free of cost to the people, Rs 1500 to every woman, Rs 15,000 to every school going child, free bus travel for women, Rs 20,000 to every farmer and 20 lakh new jobs to the youth.
It is almost three months that you have come to power in the state. Unfortunately, you seem to have forgotten your promises. None of these six promises are implemented now in the state. There is no mention of the promises either in your speeches or action. You are completely silence on these promises. Some ministers have talked about the free bus travel for women. They say that the officials are studying the scheme being implemented in other states like Telangana and Karnataka. But nothing has been done so far in the last three months. You have also not said anything about this scheme, except those ministers. Have you forgotten this promise? Do you remember this promise? Do you want the Congress to remind you of this promise?
You have promised three LPG cylinders for every family per year. Three months have gone that you are in power. There is no mention of the scheme either by you or any of your Cabinet ministers. No one speaks about the scheme. People have lot of hopes on you to roll out the scheme. In fact, the people have voted for your believing that you would give them three cylinders a year. Gas prices have gone up and purchasing gas every time has become a real burden to the people. The women in the state are looking for you to roll out the scheme. They want you to give them three cylinders a year. When will you start giving them three cylinders? Please wake up and fulfil the promise!
The farmers in the state are looking for financial support from the government. You have promised them Rs 20,000 a year. Neither you nor any of your ministers are talking about this promise in the last three months. Do you remember that you have made this promise to the farmers during the elections? Do you remember that this promise was part of your Super Six? How long will you take to start implementing the scheme?
The school-going children are looking for Rs 15,000 for them. You have promised this Rs 15,000 to every child, no matter how many children are there in a family. You promised Rs 15,000 to every child. Rs 15,000 to one child, Rs 30,000 to two children, Rs 45,000 to three children and Rs 60,000 to four children. Leave aside Rs 60,000, what about Rs 15,000 to a child. No child in the state is given this amount in the last three months. Schools were started in June this year and we are now in September. Do you remember to give this money to the children!? Do you know the mothers of these school going children are waiting for this financial support? When will you give this money to the mothers? Remember, people are waiting.
You have promised to give Rs 1500 to every woman in the state. The women are waiting for this money. Three months have gone and they should get Rs 4500 by now. Please start giving money to the women in the state. That was your promise and people have voted for you for the same. They are waiting for you to start giving the money. Please give the money from June, the month that you took over as the chief minister of the state. Don’t postpone it. Give this money without further delay.
The women in the state are also waiting for you to start the free bus travel. What is there to study the scheme. That was a promise and you have to implement it from the day you took over the reins. You took oath on June 12, 2024 and the scheme should have come into force on the same day. That was your promise. You said that your government would implement the scheme immediately after coming to power. It is three months that your government was formed. You can’t postpone it anymore. The women in the state are asking for it. They are asking for free travel in the APSRTC buses as promised. Please start the scheme.
Remember, you have also promised job guarantee to the volunteers in the state. You have also promised to increase their honorarium to Rs 10,000 per month. They are also waiting for your orders. You have not used their services in the last three months. You have left them to their fate. A promise is a promise and you have promised them job guarantee and hike in honorarium. Please fulfil this promise too.
The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee is there to remind you of your promises to the people. We will be there working for you, reminding you of your promises. Please start working on your promises. Better late than never. We are waiting for you to start implementing your promises one after the other, particularly the Super Six.
Looking forward to you to start implementing the promises that you have made to the people during the 2024 general election to the State Assembly.
Thanking you sir.
Yours Sincerely
Sunkara Padmasree
