The Andhra Pradesh government had decided to complete the BC Bhavans started in the districts. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had directed the BC department to take up construction of BC Bhavans in all 26 districts. He also told them to start construction of study circles for the BCs that would benefit all 139 castes in the BC list.
The chief minister also told the officials to reorganize the BC corporations to reach out to every BC person in the state. There are 56 BC corporations working now which would be reorganized catering to every BC individual in the state.
The chief minister directed the officials to release Rs 10 crore for strengthening of the BC Study circles in the state. He also told them to create IAS Study Circles for the BCs and encourage the BC students to study IAS.
The State government had also decided to release Rs 110 crore diet charges and Rs 25 crore cosmetics charges which were pending from the previous YSR Congress government. The chief minister told the officials to release Rs 10 crore for repairs to the BC Welfare Hostels and Rs 25 crore for the books, uniforms and other things for the students.
The TDP government had started 68 Kapu Bhavans across the state during 2014 and 2019. The previous government had ignored these bhavans in the last five years. The present NDA government had now decided to complete these, Kapu Bhavans. The chief minister had directed the officials to see that the Kapu Bhavans are completed at the earliest.
