Lokesh promises 20 lakh jobs in five years

Minister for Human Resources and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday promised to give 20 lakh jobs to the youth in the next five years. He said that the government is currently working on these lines.

Lokesh participated in the Confederation of Indian Industry meeting in Vijayawada on the day. He said that the present government was working on Speed of Doing Business in the state. Every license would be cleared at a greater speed, he said.

The government is also working on the industry federation holding talks with them on bringing industries to the state. More investments are being attracted to the state and the industry is helping the state government to bring more investments, he said.

The minister further said that the government would establish economic development board in the state. The government would approach the investors for investments, he said. The youth are being trained for the industry-friendly, the minister said.

The Minister also said that the state government would establish an ecosystem that would be industry friendly. He said that the previous YSR Congress government’s decision to withdraw power purchase agreements had national impact. The investors have gone back from Andhra Pradesh because of the YSR Congress government, he said.

The present government was building the confidence among the investors, he said. He further added that the government was making all out efforts to rebuild confidence among the investors. The government was also liberalizing the rules to give permissions to the investors to start investment, the minister said.
