Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that the NDA government would not tolerate anyone who had committed a crime. He said that the government would investigate into every aspect and take stringent action against those who were responsible for any crime.
Chandrababu Naidu said that Tirumala has more than 200 years of history. The laddu prepared in the temple gives a beautiful smell, he said. The laddu at home changes the fragrance of the house, he said. He said that laddu is taken by the devotees with a lot of spiritual fervor. Such a laddu was contaminated with animal fat, he said.
The chief minister took strong exception to YSR Congress president and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for his remarks against him and the government. He alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had contaminated the laddu with mixing animal fat in the ghee supplied to the temple. When that crime is exposed, Jagan Mohan Reddy was blaming the government, he said.
He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had not changed even after the humiliating defeat. He said people have thrown him out of power and gave him just 11 MLA seats out of 175. He should now accept the defeat and change his attitude, Chandrababu Naidu said.
The chief minister further said that the NDA government had started Anna Canteens with the spirit of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD). The government would not bring down the image of the TTD, he asserted. He said that he would not allow anyone to play with the sentiments of the people. He would give his soul to protect the sentiments attached to the temple, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu further said that he had high respect for the sentiments of the lakhs of people. He said that people visit Tirumala and worship Lord Venkateswara with great respect and religious fervor. He would never allow anyone to play with the sentiments of the people, he said.
By contaminating the laddu, the previous YSR Congress government had committed a major crime, he said. However, he had to speak about it to expose the criminals. He would do everything to punish the criminals for playing with the sentiments of Hindus, he said. He further said that he would not tolerate anyone doing harm to the people and their interests.
