Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had blamed his predecessor Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for insulting the Hindu temples in the last five years. He said that the YSR Congress government had ignored several norms and practices at the Hindu temples. He further alleged that the YSR Congress leaders have looted the Hindu temples in the last five years.
Chandrababu Naidu said that everyone has the right to worship Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. Even Jagan Mohan Reddy had the right to worship the Lord. However, he was expected to give a declaration at Tirumala before worshiping the Lord, Chandrababu Naidu said.
He questioned Jagan Mohan Reddy for not giving the declaration. Even as the chief minister he was expected to give declaration before worshiping the Lord, Chandrababu Naidu said in the social media post. He wondered why Jagan Mohan Reddy had gone to Tirumala when he has no respect to the tradition being flowed there.
He said that the YSR Congress leaders have neglected the Hindu temples. Several temples were attacked in the last five years, he said. When the chariot was on fire, when the Lord’s statues were beheaded, the YSR Congress leaders took it light, Chandrababu Naidu alleged.
While demanding that all the YSR Congress leaders should apologize to the Hindus, the chief minister blamed Jagan Mohan Reddy for encouraging anti-social elements to attack the Hindu temples. He said that they have disrespected the Hindu temples. They have also insulted the Hindus through their acts, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu said that Lord Venkateswara would not leave anyone unpunished if he was disrespected. The YSR Congress government did not respect the Hindu temples or Hindu Gods, he said. He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders have tried to loot the Hindu temples and insult the traditions.
