The IRCTC is providing a range of Domestic and International Tourism, IT & Ticketing and Catering services across the country including e-ticketing services for Indian Railways and catering services on trains & stations across the country.
The APTDC is conducting package tours, Customized tours & tours on demand, utilizing its own fleet of buses & hire vehicles.
Now APTDC & IRCTC are proposing to work jointly in the interest of public for improving their quality of service and their quantum of business in the following areas through this MOU for a period of 2 years
APTDC will provide accommodation to the passengers coming through IRCTC package tours in their hotels at a special Tariff Rates. (10% Discount on Hotel room tariff on week days & 5% Discount on Saturday & Sunday & all public holidays).
Rail-cum-Road package tours being operated from various places by APTDC, will now be jointly organized with IRCTC, as per need basis, by chartering rail coaches or on Specific allotment of berths on specified dates on Regular mail/Express trains/Special trains and can operate multiple packages to different destinations utilizing train services (subject to allotment of berths by railways in Kirandol passenger & other trains in future), at special rates 7% standard discount on ticket tariff on week days & on Saturday & Sunday & all public holidays.
IRCTC shall provide the material for publicity & marketing of the tour packages to be provided under this agreement.
Joint manning of Tourism information counters as well as cross selling of IRCTC-APTDC products wherever possible in each other outlets in Andhra Pradesh.
Educational Tours and Pilgrimage Circuits/Religious Circuits may be developed/operated jointly by utilizing the resources of both organizations Train services, Road services etc.
APTDC to provide Lunch at Tirumala and guide services to the packages organized by IRCTC at Tirupati, on need basis.
