Former chief minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday took to the social media targeting chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tirumala laddu issue. He posted in the x quoting Chandrababu Naidu’s statements which contradict temple executive officer J Shyamala Rao’s statements.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that TTD EO Shyamala Rao had admitted that they have rejected the ghee in which vegetable fat was found. He made this statement on July 23, 2024 where the EO said, that “We found vegetable fat mixed in the ghee, and we rejected it.”
However, on September 18, Chandrababu Naidu said that “Animal fat was used instead of ghee in laddu preparation.”
Again, on September 20, executive officer Shyamala Rao said that “After discovering that the ghee was adulterated. We rejected and sent four tankers back.”
But Chandrababu Naidu said that the ghee in the four tankers was used in the preparation of laddu at the temple, Jagan Mohan Reddy said. Again, on September 27, Chandrababu Naidu said that “We used the ghee but the exact details of where it was used is irrelevant,” Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
Jagan Mohan Reddy tagged his post with RSS, VHP and BJP leaders at the Centre with a request to them all to look into these facts. Jagan Mohan Reddy further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was trying to gain political mileage by pointing an accusing finger at the YSR Congress in the row.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also blamed Chandrababu Naidu for creating controversy out of nothing. He asked the BJP, VHP and RSS leaders to know the facts and judge for themselves whether the adulterated ghee was used or not.
