BJP Kisan Morna state unit president Chigurupati Kumaraswamy on Sunday blamed former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for adulteration of laddus in Tirupati. He led the Kisan Morcha leaders to clean temples that were visited by the YSR Congress leaders on Saturday.
The YSR Congress leaders have offered special poojas on Saturday across the state in protest against the NDA government blaming the party for the adulteration of the Tirupati laddu. The BJP Kisan Morcha leaders cleaned the temples where the YSR Congress leaders offered prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumaraswamy blamed Jagan Mohan Reddy for allowing adulteration of ghee supplied to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). The adulterated ghee was used for the preparation of laddus and the same was given to the devotees, he said.
He further alleged that Christians were made the chairmen of the TTD trust board during the last five years. The non-Hindus ruled the roost in Tirumala for the last five years, he said. He blamed the YSR Congress leaders for countering the allegations against the government.
Kumaraswamy said that millions of Hindus sentiments were hurt with the actions of Jagan Mohan Reddy as the chief minister. He said that the Hindus traditions and practices were violated during the last five years.
He demanded that action be taken against the YSR Congress leaders for the irregularities in TTD. He said that the present NDA government was bringing out the irregularities of the previous government one after the other. He expressed confidence that those who committed crime would be punished by the present government.
