YSRCP Women’s Wing state president, Varudu Kalyani criticized Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita for making baseless remarks against former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the Tirumala laddu controversy and warned that such lies will not last long and accountability is inevitable.
Speaking to the media in Vishakapatnam, Kalyani stated that Anita, forgetting her role as Home Minister, had made disgraceful and false accusations against Jagan, warning that lies cannot continue indefinitely and accountability would eventually follow.
Kalyani compared Anita’s actions to those of Chandrababu Naidu, who had previously made false claims about the Tirumala laddus. Despite being proven wrong with evidence, Kalyani said, both Chandrababu and Anita continued to spread lies. She challenged Naidu to call for an investigation if he was confident about his accusations.
Kalyani also criticized the government for preventing YSRCP leaders from attending Jagan’s Tirupati visit while allowing BJP workers from other states into the area. She expressed disappointment over the Home Minister’s inaction during these incidents. Regarding PCC President Sharmila, Kalyani said that she was merely reading from a script written by Chandrababu Naidu and had no original ideas.
