The Andhra Pradesh government had decided to have cyber police stations in every district. The government would open 24 new cyber police stations in the state, leaving Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, where the cyber police stations are already in existence.
Cyber crimes are increasing every day. People are being targeted through the mobile phone and are being cheated. Cyber criminals make a call to the people and tell them that their bank account needed to be updated with the information and they take the debit card or credit card details and the PIN numbers.
The cyber criminals also make calls to the people and threaten them that they have failed to pay instalment for the loans and cases are booked and they would be arrested soon. People get annoyed with this and try to escape from being arrested and fall pray to the callers.
There are also online games which attract the people. There are also cases of women being used to cheat the people. Women make calls and make friendship with people and start slowly robbing them. These cases are more when compared to others.
The women also make nude calls and ask the people to make nude calls. They record these nude calls and threaten them to show the videos to the family members and loot them. Unable to tell anyone, people pay to these callers.
There are also fake websites on various issues where they attract people and loot them. Travel and ticket booking websites are more where the people visit and lose their money.
The government wants to focus on these and protect the people from cyber fraud. The government also wants to appoint people with cyber knowledge as the cyber police stations heads.
