Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday distributed pension to the beneficiaries at Puchakayalamada village of Pathikonda mandal in Kurnool district. He gave the widow pension to Talari Gangamma and old age pension to Chintaginjala Venkatesh.
He interacted with the two beneficiaries and enquired about the functioning of the government for the past 100 days. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the family members of Talari Gangamma. He went into the house of Gangamma and closeted with her family members. He also went into the house of Venkatesh and interacted with his family members.
The family members thanked the chief minister for visiting their house and giving the pensions. They told him that they are happy to receive pension from the chief minister himself.
Chandrababu Naidu told them that the government is giving the increased pension as promised from the first month in office. He also told them that his government had given Rs 7,000 pension which was increased from April 2024.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the government is committed for the development of the state. However, he said it would not give up the welfare programmes. He said that the government would take both development and welfare in two hands. He said that development and welfare are his two eyes.
Later, the chief minister laid foundation stone for Rs 2.83 crore developmental works planned for the village. He said that the developmental works would be completed at the earliest. He also promised the villagers that he would monitor the developmental works personally.
Chandrababu Naidu also worshiped Lord Kaseeswara Swamy temple in the village.
