Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with ZPTCs and other party leaders from West Godavari and Eluru districts. He criticized the TDP coalition government for failing to introduce the annual budget even after four months in power and said that the delay was due to avoid publish backlash over scheme allocations.
During the meeting in the party central office in Tadepalli, Jagan slammed the TDP coalition government for using a temporary budget to avoid public scrutiny, saying that a full budget would have required them to reveal allocations for various programs. Jagan stated that during his time in the YSRCP government, every manifesto promise was fulfilled despite challenges like COVID-19 and reduced state income, highlighting the unprecedented introduction of a welfare calendar before the budget to outline the timing and implementation of various programs.
He criticized the TDP for not delivering on their promises and highlighted that the public was now discussing the difference between the YSRCP and TDP governments. He noted that people were becoming increasingly frustrated with Chandrababu Naidu’s unfulfilled promises, particularly regarding education schemes like Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, as well as the state’s deteriorating healthcare system.
The former Chief Minister expressed concern over the rise of illegal activities like gambling and the spread of liquor shops under the current administration. He also mentioned the government’s failure to pay 104 and 108 employees on time, and the collapse of essential services in healthcare, including the pending Aarogyasri bills.
Jagan urged the cadre to stand firm with the people and continue their fight against the injustices of the TDP coalition government. He reassured them that they should not fear legal cases, reminding them of his own time spent in jail and the continued support he received from the public.
He praised the United West Godavari ZPTCs for their unity and dedication to the party, despite facing political challenges, and assured them that the party would continue to stand by them. He encouraged them to keep fighting for the people and assured them that the next government would definitely be led by the YSRCP.
