He said that he never said that Jagan Mohan Reddy prepared laddus at Tirumala with the contaminated ghee. He said that they have only said that the ghee was contaminated and the laddus were adulterated. He also took strong exception to the YSR Congress leaders allegation that the NDA government and its leaders were politically using the laddu issue. He also asked the Supreme Court judges to know what had happened in Tirumala in the last five years of the YSR Congress rule. He wanted them to look deeper into every decision taken during the YSR Congress rule. He said that those who were appointed by the YSR Congress into the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) have done several irregularities in the Tirumala temple, he said.
When Y V Subbba Reddy was the TTD chairman, they sold the darshan tickets in the name of Srivani Trust at Rs 10,500 but issued receipt only for Rs 500, Pawan Kalyan said. Several such irregularities were noticed during the YSR Congress rule, he said.
