Chandrababu Naidu had become the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh four months ago. He did not start the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes yet. The DBT schemes were stopped in January this year due to the elections to the state Assembly. This is October and the year changes in the next two months. This would mean that one year is over without the government rolling out any DBT in the state.
Jagan Mohan Reddy as the chief minister had started over 40 DBT schemes and another 12 non-DBT schemes. Amma Vodi, Vidya Deevena, Vasati Deevena, Rythu Bharosa, Sunna Vaddi, Kapu Nestam, Netanna Nestam, Law Nestam, Jagananna Chedodu, Vahana Mitra, are some schemes that Jagan Mohan Reddy had implemented for the five years.
He paid the lowest of Rs 5,000 to every beneficiary under Law Nestam to Rs 15,000 under Amma Vodi. In all, 13.19 crore beneficiaries have received Rs 4,49,000 crore per year. People of all sections have received the benefit from Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
The NDA had promised to continue all these schemes and made several promises during the general election. Chandrababu Naidu promised super six schemes to the people during the election campaign. It is fourth month that he is in power. Nothing is being implemented.
The NDA government had increased the monthly pension for the aged from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000. Except this, there is nothing that this government had done to the people in the last four months. They have been postponing the implementation of the super six promises made to the people during the elections.
The government had announced that it would roll out the three free gas cylinders from Diwali. The government said that the three gas cylinders would be given to the white ration card holders in the state, though Chandrababu Naidu had announced it for all women during the elections.
The other schemes in the super six might be rolled out only in the new year. That would mean that there are no new schemes from this government for this year.
