The YSR Congress leaders were questioned by the police on Monday in the attack on TDP office at Mangalagiri. The Mangalagiri police questioned the YSR Congress leaders Lella Appi Reddy, Talasila Raghuram and Devineni Avinash in the case.

The state government had delegated the case to the CBCID. However, due to some technical reasons, the CID is yet to take over the case and begin the investigation. Hence, the Mangalagiri police have continued the investigation and called the YSR Congress leaders for the questioning.

Appi Reddy, Raghuram and Avinash informed the police that they have no knowledge of the attack and they did not meet on the day. They also told the police that they have no information about the attack and have never seen the activists who participated in the attack.

The YSR Congress leaders also told the police that they have no information about the incident. No body had consulted them or did they consult anyone in the incident, they told the police. They also told the police that the intention of those who attacked the TDP office was not known to them.

The YSR Congress leaders further told the police that they were not aware of the incident and came to known only through the media reports. They said that they were busy with their own works in their areas and were not aware of the attack.
