The immigration officials have stopped YSR Congress general secretary and former government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy in Mumbai airport on Tuesday. He was on his way from the US to Hyderabad when the immigration officials stopped him.
Ramakrishna Reddy went to the US two weeks ago on a personal visit. He had returned to the Mumbai airport.
When he attempted to take an Hyderabad flight, the immigration officials stopped him. They told him that there was a look out notice against him by the Guntur district police. He told the officials that he is not leaving the country but was coming to the country from foreign country.
He further told them that he had relief from the Supreme Court and he cannot be arrested now or stopped from travelling.
The immigration officials then informed the Guntur SP about the movements of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. The SP told them that the notice was issued when Sajjala was in foreign country and when the case was not transferred to the CID.
He told them that the CID would take care of it and leave him to travel. It was then the immigration officials allowed Sajjala to travel.
Sajjala is accused in the attack on TDP office at Mangalagiri in 2023. He is co-accused along with Talasila Raghuram, Lella Appi Reddy, Devineni Avinash and Nandigam Suresh in the case.
