Former minister and senior YSR Congress leader Botsa Satyanarayana, on Saturday criticized the state government for not implementing the Super Six promises made to the people during general election.

Speaking to media persons in Visakhapatnam along with former minister Gudivada Amarnath, Botsa Satyanarayana said that people have been waiting for the NDA government to implement the Super Six promises. He said that people have voted for this government only because of the Super Six promises.

He said that the YSR Congress wanted to wait for six months to criticize this government. However, in the last four months, this government had proved to be a failure, he said. He alleged that the government had failed to handle the floods. Vijayawada city was inundated in the flood water. People lived in the water for ten days, he said.

He alleged that this government had claimed several crores of rupees on supplying matchboxes and candles to the people in the flood-hit areas. He wondered where did they distribute the matchboxes and candles when people were in full darkness.

He also blamed the government for its inaction to attend to the victims of diarrhea in Gurla village of Vizianagaram district. He said that ten persons have died due to diarrhea in the village while hundreds of people fell victim to it. The government had failed to attend to this issue, he said. He asked the government to pay compensation to those who died and give better health care to those who were affected by diarrhea.

Botsa also blamed the government for its sand policy. He said that the government had claimed to give sand free of cost. But in reality, the sand was costing more than what it cost during the YSR Congress regime. He alleged that the ruling TDP leaders were making huge money from sand. The sand available in the storage points was stolen by the TDP leaders, he alleged.

Botsa also blamed the government for not helping the women and farmers. He said that the women were waiting for the Thalliki Vandanam scheme while the farmers were waiting for the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He said that the government is not interested in making the payments to the women and farmers in the state.
