YSR Congress Nellore district president and former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy slammed chief minister Chandrababu Naidu for turning a blind eye to the illegal activities of MLAs and ministers involved in intimidation, extortion, and corruption regarding sand and liquor policies and demanded immediate action
Speaking to the media in Nellore, the former minister challenged Chandrababu Naidu, stating that if he is truly committed to clean governance, he should file cases against those responsible for these actions. He raised concerns over the sand policy, stating that there has been a loss of Rs 800 crore due to illegal sand mining and corruption. He also stated that the coalition government’s governance in the last four months has been marked by rampant looting and sharing of public resources, calling it a “looting spree.”
He also said that TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has been plotting a Rs 100 crore sand theft scheme in the Surayapalem region. He announced that a protest will be held in Nellore on October 25 to expose the corruption in sand policies and the involvement of TDP leaders.
