A Congress activist in Rajanna Sirisilla district had displayed a wallposter in Sirisilla town giving a serious warning to chief minister A Revanth Reddy. He wanted the chief minister to resolve the ration cards issue immediately.
The Congress activist said that the previous government had betrayed the people on the ration cards. The government said it would give ration cards but never gave, the Congress activist said in the poster. He said that the present government too was betraying the people in the name of ration cards.
The Congress activist said that people were not getting the job card under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The people were also not getting the government welfare schemes because of the non-availability of the ration cards, the Congress activist said in the poster.
The Congress activist said that if the Chief Minister has any brain, he should address the ration cards issue. The Congress activist further said that people were looking for the government to address the ration cards issue. The government is completing one year in office shortly and it would help the Congress government to resolve the issue immediately.
Meanwhile, there is a talk that the poster was the handywork of the Bharat Rastra Samithi in the town. The BRS activists have come up with the poster in the name of the Congress, some people say.
Whatever or whoever is behind this poster, there is a discussion in the town about the poster and the need of the ration cards for the people. Those who do not have the ration cards wish that at least now the government should think of ration cards.
People expect this government to look into the issue at least now and issue the ration cards issue.
