AP Govt spends Rs 3.92 cr for mikes, CC cameras at CM residence

The Andhra Pradesh state government had sanctioned Rs 3.92 crore for installation of CC Cameras and Audio-Video systems at the Undavalli residence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The state government issued GO RT 1599 on September 18, giving administrative sanction for the release of the amount.

The government would install CC Cameras, audio-video systems in the conference hall in the residence of the chief minister. The contractor would have to maintain these systems for the next five years, the GO said.

The AP Capital Region Development Authority was authorized to call for tenders and procure the CC Cameras and the video-audio systems for the conference hall. The CC Cameras and video-audio systems would also be installed in the conference hall of the chief secretary and the cabinet hall at the Block I in the Velagapudi secretariat.

The GO said that these systems are already available in the conference hall of the chief minister’s residence. However, they have become old and are not fully functional. They are irreparable and need to be replaced for the smooth functioning of the audio-visual operations, the GO said.

The government also released another GO RT 321 on October 28, giving administrative sanction for Rs 1.44 crore. This would be used for the replacement of the solar power fencing at the chief minister’s residence in Undavalli. This would cost Rs 21 lakh, the GO said.

The government also released Rs 81 lakh for the installation of CCTVs replacing the existing CCTV systems in the chief minister’s residence. The state government would be spending another Rs 42 lakh for the installation and repairs to access controls like UVSS, Hydraulic Bollards, Rectractable Gates, Tyre killers, Boom Barriers, which were removed from Tadepalli and to be installed in the chief minister’s residence.
