YSR Congress spokesperson Putta Shivashankar demanded that the police take suo motu action and register a case against the TDP leader who publicly threatened Secretariat employees.
Speaking to the media at the party’s central office, Shivashankar expressed serious concern over TDP leaders threatening government employees. He highlighted instances where TDP leaders openly encouraged harm to employees who did not follow their orders. Shivashankar questioned whether democracy still exists in the state. He said that violence and intimidation have become common since the alliance government took power.
He also raised doubts about the governing principles in the state, questioning if they were based on a “Red Book Constitution” or the ideologies of TDP leaders like Chandrababu, Pawan, or Karanam Balaram Naidu. He cited examples of ongoing attacks on the public and YSRCP workers, stating that such incidents had become routine. Referring to TDP leader Lokesh, Shivashankar criticized his selective response to minor incidents while staying silent on more serious threats within the Secretariat.
Shivashankar affirmed that the YSRCP stands firmly behind the Secretariat employees and will continue to fight until justice is achieved. He urged the police to independently register a case to address the threats made by TDP representatives, emphasizing the need for accountability in the state.
