Late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s widow Y S Vijayamma wrote an open letter to the people of the Telugu states. She supported her daughter Sharmila and found fault with her son Jagan Mohan Reddy and his supporters in the properties distribution.
Vijayamma said that Dr Rajasekhar Reddy did not distribute properties between son Jagan Mohan Reddy and daughter Sharmila. She said that Rajasekhar Reddy had bought some assets in the names of his two children but did not distribute them.
She found fault with Y V Subba Reddy and V Vijayasai Reddy for misleading people on the distribution of assets between the two children by Dr Rajasekhar Reddy. She said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had proposed to distribute the assets as the children have grown up. He brought this proposal after he became the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019, Vijayamma said.
She further said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had signed an MoU with Sharmila and herself in 2019 in Vijayawada where they have distributed the assets between them. However, she regretted that Jagan Mohan Reddy did not implement the MoU after 2020.
She said that some injustice was done to Sharmila as Jagan Mohan Reddy did not give her due share in the properties. He did not share the assets which were not in the attachment of the Enforcement Directorate or Central Bureau of Investigation, Vijayamma said.
She further said that both Vijayasai Reddy and Subba Reddy were aware of all these facts and wondered why they were spreading lies. She sought to request outsiders not to involve in the dispute. Stating that blood is thicker than water, she expressed confidence that both Jagan and Sharmila would come to terms later.
Vijayamma requested the leaders of the YSR Congress not to interfere with the present dispute between Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila. She said that her two children knew how to resolve the issue and would iron out the differences.
Stating that she had to stand by her daughter to correct the injustice done to her. She had to write this letter to the people explaining how injustice was done to her daughter. She requested outsiders not to involve in the issue and allow it to both Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila to resolve it at a latter date.
