Minister for Municipal Administration, Dr P Narayana, on Tuesday said that former chief minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had looted the exchequer and borrowed Rs 10 lakh crore. The present government was struggling to repay the loans and the set the house in order. He further said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had also diverted the Central funds given for various departments.

Dr Narayana said that chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was using all his experience as the chief minister to set the house in order. The chief minister had been working hard to correct the systems and put them on the right track. It might take some more time for the chief minister to set things on the right track, the Minister said.

He said that despite the exchequer being empty, the government was implementing all its promises. The Super Six promises would be rolled out one after the other, he said. The free gas cylinders was already being implemented in the state, he said. The other promises would be implemented in a phased manner, taking into consideration the financial strength of the exchequer, the Minister said.

He said that the state government had sent a resolution in 2014 declaring Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The Central government too had recongised Amaravati as the capital of the state, he said. He asserted that Amaravati would remain the capital of the state forever. No government would ever dare to change the capital, as it was done by the previous YSR Congress government, the Minister said.

The Minister held a meeting with the leaders of the NDA partners. He called the leaders of the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP for the meeting. The Minister said that there were differences among the leaders of the three parties. However, the chief minister and the top leadership of the three parties would resolve the differences.

He maintained that differences would come up among the three parties and it was a natural phenomenon. The top leadership of the three parties would sit across the table and resolve them. He said that the NDA leadership in Andhra Pradesh is strong and would be able to handle the differences at the district level.

The Minister said that he would visit Kakinada district as incharge minister at least three times a month. He also promised to meet the leaders of all the three parties on his every visit. He wanted a better coordination among the three parties.
