Reiterating that the law and order situation in the State has badly deteriorated and there is no safety for women, YSR Congress has said the coalition government is only focusing on self-boasting and criticising our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to media at Prodduturu on Tuesday, party spokesperson Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy said the coalition government has miserably failed on the law and order front and is not in a position to trace the person who has brutally murdered a kid and for the past five months over atrocities were committed over 100 women and children.
Still pathetic is that the government could not even trace the body parts of the victim. The predators are not even leaving kids which is a matter of grave concern.
“I am speaking as a parent of two daughters, there is no safety for women in the State and the situation is that they cannot move out without an escort. Had the government taken stringent action against the person in the first instance itself, such incidents would not have repeated,’’ he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan himself has accepted the failure of the government in protecting the women’s safety and he was not criticising the Home Minister but it was aimed at the Chief Minister himself.
The government lacks sincerity and is trying to shift the blame on police. Why such incidents did not happen during the previous government is a question to be answered. There has been interference from the government side and pressure which is not allowing the police to work as per rules, he said.
If liquor, ganja other such substances are openly available people tend to cross limits. If police were given a free hand such incidents would have been curbed.
Instead of speaking about Vision 2047, the Chief Minister must be seeing what is happening in front him right now and take action. We will go on direct action if such a situation continues, he warned.
