Jana Sena chief and deputy chief minister, K Pawan Kalyan, on Tuesday said that the YSR Congress leaders were still thinking that they are in power. He alleged that the YSR Congress leaders were indulging in anti-social activities even after six months of the elections.
Pawan Kalyan said that the government would act strictly against those who violate law and order in the state. He said that this government would not remain silent to the violence of the YSR Congress leaders. He wanted the YSR Congress leaders to realise that they were defeated in the elections and a new coalition had come to power in the state. He said that the coalition government is watching everyone and would take action at an appropriate time.
Pawan Kalyan inspected the Saraswathi Power lands in Chennayapalem and Vemavaram of Machavaram mandal in Palnadu district on Tuesday. The officials have explained the total number of acres given to the Saraswathi Power in 2009, when late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was the chief minister. He said that these lands were given for 30 years lease.
However, after Jagan Mohan Reddy became the chief minister, the lease term was extended by another 50 years, Pawan Kalyan said. However, the Saraswathi Power did not start the work. He said that even after 15 years, the Saraswathi Power did not start the plant construction work. The lands were kept under the control of the Saraswathi Power even without the owners doing nothing on the lands.
The deputy chief minister said that Jagan Mohan Reddy and his men have terrorized the people in Palnadu district and took away the lands. The people were subjected to humiliation and violence, he said. He also alleged that the Saraswathi Power had also encroached upon over 25 acres of forest land in the area. He said that the government would conduct a survey now and find out the facts.
He further alleged that the Saraswathi Power had also grabbed 400 acres of forest land and changed the records. He said that the government would stand by the farmers and the people who have given their lands. The government would also provide protection to the people in the Palnadu region from the Saraswathi Power. The government would study the lease agreement with the government and take necessary action.
