YSR Congress leader Lakshmi Parvathi condemned the arrest of social media activists and said much before such a medium came into existence, she and TDP founder president NTR were trolled very badly by Chandrababu Naidu and his friendly media.
The repression on social media activists is undemocratic and atrocious, she told media on Friday and flayed the State government for its repression on social media activists who have been the voice of the people exposing the misdeeds the coalition.
Picking up social media activists at will without following the procedure has become order of the day and highly condemnable.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has the history of showing disrespect to NTR and me and they have poked fun with demeaning cartoons and false stories much before social media came into existence, she said and criticised the government for its failure on all fronts.
She said that social media activists of YSRCP are being targeted by the Government as they have been exposing the corruption and misdeeds of the coalition. They are being taken away at nights and there is no democracy in the State.
Chandrababu Naidu has been resorting to these tactics as he is unable to face YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and has failed in governance, she said.
