TTD Board scraps Srivani Trust

The Tirumala Triupati Devastanams (TTD) trust board which met on Monday decided to close the Srivani Trust. It had decided to attach the bank accounts of the Srivani Trust to the TTD Board. The TTD board, which met under the chairmanship of its chairman B R Naidu, took the decision dissolving the Srivani Trust.

The TTD also decided to do away with the non-Hindu employees of the TTD. It had decided to give Voluntary Retirement (VR) to the non-Hindu employees or surrender them to the state government. The state government would take these employees and give them posting in some department or the other.

The TTD board had also decided to give free darshan for the residents of Tirupati on the first Tuesday of every month. It had asked the residents of Tirupati to come with residential proof and get the darshan of the presiding deity on the day.

The flyover, Srinivasa Sethu, in Tirupati would be renamed as Garuda Varadhi. The board had decided to rename the flyover as Garuda Varadhi, the chairman told the media after the meeting. The board had also decided to shift the temple funds from the private banks to the government recognized banks. This would be held with immediate effect, the chairman told the media.
