Lambasting Chief Minister N Chandarbabu Naidu and his associates for spreading blatant lies in an organised manner to mislead people, YSR Congress supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said all this exercise is only to cover up the inefficiency of the Government in implementing the super six and other poll promises.
Speaking to media, the former Chief Minster gave a blow-by-blow rebuttal of the bundle of lies of the coalition government from the state finances supported by documents and evidence which were ratified by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports, all tabled in the Assembly.
Firstly, Chandrababu Naidu, his associates and friendly media in an orchestrated and organised manner spread the lies on state debt varying from Rs 10 lakh crore to 14 lakh crore and higher while the actual document presented in the House and the CAG report mentioned of only Rs 6.4 lakh crore. We have shown more financial discipline than the 2014-19 Chandrababu Naidu term despite Covid and had shown better performance on many counts, he said.
During 2014-19 Chandrababu Naidu government had drawn Rs 28,457 crore above the FRBM limit which has shown a negative impact during our term. Despite all the short comings we performed better in terms of compounded annual growth, per capita income and growth rate as well, he said.
Our performance, in spite of Covid was better than the national average in manufacturing and other sectors, the socio-economic survey tabled in the assembly itself tells, yet the coalition government has been slinging mud and speaking ill about our handling of state finances in an organised manner. The sharp decline in per capita income during our period being mentioned by the coalition is false.
They are trying to project the state finances mishandled during our term, only to divert the attention of the people from the inability to fulfil their super six election promise. The figures and data presented in the house states that the political rhetoric they carried out was totally false and baseless.
They could not even fulfil small promises like free bus travel to women and 3 free LPG cylinders, leave alone major promises with more financial involvement.
Six months in office they could not provide a single job while in the corresponding period we could provide 1.3 lakh jobs in village secretariats and inducted 2.66 lakh volunteers besides taking RTC employees into our fold. What Chandrababu government has done to lay off volunteers and sack 15,000 jobs in beverage corporation.
On the medical and health sector is being watered down by the coalition and efforts are being made shift medicare to private sector in the name of wealth creation. In the name of wealth creation, Chandrababu has come up with a new idea road tax.
While we have taken pains to give assigned lands to the rightful owners, the coalition government is negating it by reversing the legislation depriving weaker sections of their right to land ownership only to benefit the ruling party coterie.
While we have performed very well in the housing, this government lacks sincerity and is not taking any step to complete the semi-finished houses. There are scams in liquor, sand and even industrialists are being threatened if they do not pay their share of bribe. This is the wealth creation in the coalition government, he said.
When their inefficiency is being highlighted in social media, the activists are being arrested, beaten up and detained illegally and the law and order has come to such a pass that some retired officers are helping them out and the police is working at their behest.
While they have produced political films on earlier occasions, they filed a case on Ram Gopal Varma. Cases were filed on our Nandigam Suresh and he is still in jail as multiple cases are being filed while he was not in town when the actual incident happened. Eight cases were registered on our Dalit MLA for complaining on gambling dens being organised in his constituency.

They created a fake ID in the name of Varra Ravindra Reddy and posted objectionable material dragging our family members, he said and affirmed that Chandrababu Naidu will stoop to any level for political mileage. Cases were booked against our leaders Kodali Nani, Ambati Rambabu, R K Roja and others for raising voice against the government.
Replying to a question, he said Polavaram was delayed due to the mismanagement and greed of Chandrababu Naidu.
