YSR Congress leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has slammed former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy for his baseless comments which look like they were said only to please someone and asserted that he did sign on the SECI agreement papers.

Speaking to media here on Sunday, he said, the papers went to the cabinet only after Balineni has signed them and reminded him that on September 15, 2021 the government received the letter from SECI and the details were explained in the cabinet by officials.

The cabinet has agreed in principle on the SECI proposal and Balineni has signed on that file. Later a committee was formed to study the issue by the previous government. The expert committee has given its report after one month.

The report was submitted to the Cabinet by the officials. It was then the cabinet agreed for the deal with SECI, he said.  Balineni has signed on the proposal of agreement with SECi. These details have shattered the allegations of Balineni.

While Chandrababu had made the power purchase agreement at Rs 4.5 per unit YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has brought it down to Rs 2.45 which is 50 per cent less. This was done to provide quality power at cheaper rate and to get more revenue to the State.

He should not be talking ill of the family that has given him a political career and if this is being done to win the favour of someone else, it is not a good sign.

Despite all forces coming together in the bid to character assassinate, our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will come clean, he said.
