The coalition government has been playing foul with the SC ST colonies by disconnection power connection with vengeance as they are with YSR Congress, said Party spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao.

Speaking to media, Prabhakar Rao said, bills were issued to houses in SC ST colonies though the consumption was less than the prescribed units and power was disconnected in as many as 20 lakh houses for failing to pay dues.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had assured free power up to 200 units for SC, ST colonies and maintained it during the entire term. But the coalition government has been issuing bills with arrears even if the consumption is less than 100 units and disconnecting power indiscriminately.

This is being done without any proper notification, he said and cited a few examples of exorbitant bills. In Buttayagudem of Eluru district connection was disconnected as the bill of Rs 22,000 was not paid. It was Rs 20,000 in some other place and in Annamayya district a dalit house received a bill of Rs 35,000 and power was disconnected. In E Mallavaram of East Godavari, power was disconnected for the entire village as they did not vote for the coalition, he said.

Tracking details of private persons

In a separate press conference, Party spokesperson Putta Siva Shankar said that the government is collecting and tracking data of private persons. During its previous term, in 2014-19 they purchased spying software and had put it to use.

Now similar exercise is being carried out. When one Anil Kumar had criticised Pawan Kalyan his phone number and details were tracked down in no time by Jana Sena activists, and such a technology would be available only with top police officials, he said.

If they are able to tell the details of family members, it is dangerous trend and it seems that the government is dictatorial and the attitude of coalition partners.

Pawan Kalyan made a big issue when volunteers collected details of beneficiaries of welfare schemes. Now how did the details of private person reach Jana Sena activists, he asked and said this is nothing short of taking law into its own hands. The Home Minister should take note of this and focus on the twitter handle ‘deputy cm gari taluka’ and take necessary action.

Fees reimbursement

Meanwhile, Party student wing president Ravichandra demanded to give fees reimbursement immediately as students are passing through serious hardships to get certificates from the college managements. Education system has been derailed by the coalition government, he said.
