Former minister and YSR Congress party East Godavari district president, Ch. Srinivasa Venu Gopala Krishna accused TDP chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu of being a “master manipulator” in politics. Addressing the media here on Friday, he lashed out at the ruling coalition for failing to fulfill its election promises, particularly the much-publicized Super Six assurances.
“Despite six months in office and 12 cabinet meetings, not a single step has been taken towards implementing the promises made during elections,” he stated. “Even now, there is no concrete plan for the ‘Super Six’ promises, leaving the public disappointed once again.”
The former-minister said that programmes like “Talliki Vandanam” and “Annadata Sukhibhava,” which were introduced with much fanfare, have been shelved, causing massive losses to students and farmers. “This year alone, 87.42 lakh students lost out on benefits worth Rs. 13,112 crores, and 54 lakh farmers were deprived of Rs. 10,000 crores in support,” he said.
Drawing comparisons with the previous YSRCP government, he remarked, “Under Jagan’s leadership, welfare schemes like Amma Vodi, Cheyutha, and YSR Rythu Bharosa were implemented systematically. In contrast, the current government’s welfare promises remain mere rhetoric, with no action on the ground.”
On women’s welfare, he pointed out the failure of the “Aadabidda Nidhi” scheme, leaving 1.80 crore women waiting in vain. “Even basic support like free LPG cylinders has been watered down from three cylinders a year to just one,” he criticized.
Addressing governance, Venu Gopala Krishna said that the TDP-led coalition focuses on “diversion politics” to evade accountability. “Social media activists questioning government failures are silenced with fabricated cases. This is an assault on democracy,” he claimed.
“If Chandrababu Naidu truly cares for the people, he must fulfill the promises made during elections. Empty words and broken assurances will not suffice,” he said.
