Former Minister Kurasala Kannababu lashed out at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for engaging in negative propaganda and diversionary politics, urging him to stop spreading false information, particularly regarding the misleading accusations surrounding the Tirupati Laddu.

Speaking to the media Kakinada here on Friday, the former minister said the false propaganda will not only harm the reputation of TTD but also disrespect Lord Venkateswara. He called on the TDP to focus on real issues instead of politicizing religious matters.

Kannababu urged Naidu to focus on real issues, including the high prices of essential goods like onions and rice, as well as the severe sand shortage in the state, which has hit construction workers hard. He also condemned the government’s failure to help thousands of families affected by recent floods, which destroyed crops across 15 lakh acres.

The former minister highlighted how prices of onions have risen above Rs 60 per kilogram in farmers’ markets and Rs 75 in the open market, while rice prices have increased from Rs150 to Rs 200 for a 25 kilogram bag. He pointed out that the government, despite claiming to provide free sand, has been charging excessive amounts, with sand transportation fees alone reaching Rs 9,276, and total costs rising to Rs 16,640.

Kannababu expressed concern about the TDP’s negligence in various areas, particularly in agriculture and public safety. He urged the TDP government to focus on solving these pressing issues instead of using diversionary tactics to cover up its failures.
