Is Pawan looking for safe passage to merge his party with BJP?

Jana Sena chief and deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, K Pawan Kalyan, is becoming more a Hindu than the BJP leaders in the state. He had given a call to the people to protect Sanathana Dharma and protect Hindu ism.

Pawan Kalyan had been holding some or the other deeksha these days. He is also visiting some temple and doing rituals. He speaks for the Hindus more than the BJP leaders. The BJP is also happy with this new trend in the state.

The BJP seeks better future for the party in the years to come, particularly at the 2029 general elections to the state Assembly. The party sees no future for the TDP as its chief N Chandrababu Naidu would be turning to 79 by 2029 and it would be difficult for him to lead the party in the election campaign.

The TDP would face troubles in 2029 general election with the aging Chandrababu Naidu. The BJP expects more leaders from the TDP to jump into the BJP. With more leaders coming in, it would be difficult for the BJP to handle them.

It is here the BJP leadership wants a strong leader and greater following in the state. Pawan Kalyan had emerged as a strong leader, better than TDP’s new generation leader, Nara Lokesh. Pawan Kalyan can pull the crowd anywhere in the state and he can keep the folks together. It is this quality that the BJP wants for its wing in the state, at least for the 2029 general election.

The BJP leaders have already started sending feelers to Pawan Kalyan to make up his mind to merge his Jana Sena with the BJP and take the leadership. The national party has the advantage of financial resources, which is a big problem for the Jana Sena chief these days.

Now in power, Pawan Kalyan, is not finding financial problems, but to get to this position, he had to spend from his pocket. His brother K Chiranjeevi too had to fund the party with a donation of Rs 5 crore just before the general election. This would not be a problem for Pawan Kalyan if he merges his party with the BJP.

BJP top leaders like Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, J P Nadda, Nitin Gadkari have browsed the issue of merger of Jana Sena with the BJP, particularly after the 2024 general election. Pawan Kalyan had tasted the power now and wishes to have the power in his hand.  He is slowly founding his present position as important to be at the helm. He is realizing slowly that it would not be possible for him to run the party for a longer time given the political compulsions in the state.

Jagan Mohan Reddy is throwing money like anything to keep his party alive. He is rich and has the money on hand to spend it. But the situation is not the same for Pawan Kalyan. He has to act in the films, earn money and spend it for the party. If he merges his party with the BJP, the BJP top leadership would take care of the money part. He would be relieved of that burden. What powers he is enjoying now would continue to be the same even if he merges his party with the BJP.

It is for this end result, Pawan Kalyan, is turning more a Hindu these days than what he was when he launched the Jana Sena in 2014. Che Guevara is no more in his agenda. Mayawati is no more in his agenda. His agenda is now packed with Hindutva, the Sanathana Dharma, a safe path to merge his party with the BJP.
