Palle Panduga from Monday across AP

The Andhra Pradesh state government would be organizing Palle Panduga across the state from Monday. The event would be held for one week in all the village panchayats in the state.

Deputy chief minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had directed the officials of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Ministry to organize the Palle Panduga in all 13,324 villages in the state. He told them to involve the local bodies leaders in the event.

The state government would spend Rs 35,000 crore and complete over 30,000 works in the state during the Palle Panduga. The Ministry had already issued orders to release the funds and take up the works.

The works include 3,000 kilometers of cement concrete roads, 500 kilometers of tar roads would be laid during the Palle Panduga. The government would also take up strengthening of bunds of irrigation tanks, and canals across the state.

Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan would formally participate in the Palle Panduga in Kankipadu of Krishna district on the day. He would join the local body leaders in the celebration.
