New policies will change the future of AP, says Naidu

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said that the state cabinet had adopted six new policies that would change the future of this state. He spoke to the media after the cabinet meeting at Velagapudi secretariat on the day.

The chief minister said that the cabinet had approved electronics, green energy, clean energy, industrial policies were approved at the cabinet meeting. The state government would also clear tourism, IT and virtual work policies in the days to come.

Chandrababu Naidu said that the state government would establish innovative hub in Amaravati in the honour of industrialist late Ratan Tata. He said that these innovation hubs would come up in five cities across the state.

The innovation hubs would come at Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Tirupati, Amaravati, and Anantapur, the chief minister said. He said that the state government would bring technology to their door step. Technology would be used in every sector and make it people-friendly, he said. Chandrababu Naidu favored that innovation hubs should convert Andhra Pradesh as knowledge hub.  

Chandrababu Naidu said that late N T Rama Rao had said that Krishna River water could be used for Rayalaseema. The TDP had made it a reality and provided Krishna River water to Rayalaseema region, he said.

The TDP is committed for the interlinking of rivers in the state, Chandrababu Naidu said. He said that the previous government had neglected the irrigation projects in the state in the last five years., This government would restore them and complete those projects, he said.

He also emphasized the need to bring more investments to the state. He said that this government was trying to bring investments from other countries and as well as from within the country. He said that he and the ministers were interacting with the investors across the world and inviting them to come to Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu Naidu further said that the state would also be converted and developed into aqua hub. The government would give highest priority to the aqua culture in the state, he said. He said that food processing units would come in more numbers in the next five years, he said.
