Red sanders smuggling rampant during TDP term

YSR Congress has said that smuggling of red sanders is going on unabated during the coalition government while it was under check during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy term.

Speaking to media, official spokesperson Putta Sivasanakar Reddy said there are no check-posts nor raids and no action against red sanders smugglers while there were stringent action against them and even PD act was invoked for violations.

 During previous government when Peddiredi Ramchandra Reddy for Forest Minitser, 24 forest rangers were identified and were equipped with men and material for proper functioning and the auction of seized red sanders fetched revenue.

In Chandrababu’s term there are no cases against smugglers as they are working in the garb of TDP workers and carrying the material in Heritage vehicles and earlier the logs were found in his native village itself, he said.

During his previous term, there was largescale smuggling of red sanders and a leader from Kurnool made hay out of it, he said adding that he produced a film with the ill-gotten wealth and married the heroine of the film was also became his accomplice, he said.

The coalition government has been feeding stories in media to divert the attention of the public from its failures, he said and asked the Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan to spell out the action taken to check the smuggling of forest wealth.

Data shows that red sanders smuggling was rampant during TDP term and it was contained after Jagan Mohan Reddy took over, he said.
