The year 2024 has shown to people of the state the contrast between a government that keeps up its promise and the one that goes back on election promises by exposing its character and leaving the people betrayed.
Speaking to media, former minister Gudivada Amarnath said while YSRCP stands tall in fulfilling its welfare agenda the coalition government was found wanting on every poll promise it had made depleting the people’s aspirations.
Going forward, YSRCP would stand by the people and be its voice to expose the failures of the government and mount pressure on pressing issues. Party President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would tour all the districts and lead from the front in being voice of the people and mount pressure on the coalition government on pressing issues.
Chandrababu Naidu, who boasts about wealth creation, has been listed out as the wealthiest of Chief Ministers while people of the state stay betrayed with broken promises and loan the state had taken in the six month period being Rs 1.14 lakh crore with not a single welfare scheme being implemented in the letter and spirit.
Jagan Mohan Reddy on the other hand stood as signature of welfare implementing all the welfare schemes and disbursing Rs 2.75 lakh crores through DBT to the beneficiaries on time besides carrying out welfare schemes and wealth creation by building hospitals, ports, Bhogapuram airport and revamping school infrastructure through Nadu Nedu besides bringing in reforms.
The coalition government failed to implement the super six promises, with input subsidy and fees reimbursement taking a back seat and power tariff being increased. We have taking up agitation against the increased power tariff and farmers issue and will be launch protests on January 29 on the fees reimbursement issue.
Chandrababu Naidu began his governance with a betrayal by signing the first file on DSC to provide jobs to 6,500, which went awry while Jagan Mohan Reddy has created village secretariats providing employment and volunteer system that has taken governance to grass-root level, he said.
The state debt during the past six months stands at Rs 1.12 lakh crore but not one of the super six promise made by Chandrababu Naidu was fulfilled. Students, farmers, youth, women and all sections of people stand dejected and are now regretting and feel betrayed, he said.
The amount due to various sections of people for the welfare schemes it has announced, be it Talliki Vandanam, Ann Daatha, Yuva Galam, Stree Nidhi and others for the six months period stands at Rs 60,000 crore and where did the loans taken by the coalition government go is not accounted for.
While Jagan Mohan Reddy stood for social justice TDP has been belittling BCs if the two incidents of north Andhra is of any indication. We will continue to be with people and take up their issues in the days to come, he said.
