The Andhra Pradesh high court on Wednesday dismissed the petitions of the opposition YSR Congress leaders in two cases. The cases are related to attack on the TDP office at Mangalagiri and party chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence at Undavalli Karakatta.

YSR Congress MLCs Talasila Raghuram and Lella Appireddy, former MP Nadigam Suresh and party leader Devineni Avinash were accused in the attack on the TDP office. It was alleged that they directed the attack on the party office and their supporters participated in the attack.

It was also alleged that YSR Congress then MLA and former minister Jogi Ramesh was accused in the case of attack on Chandrababu Naidu’s residence. He went to Chandrababu Naidu’s house along with his supporters posing a threat to Naidu’s security.

In the two cases, the high court refused to give bail to the leaders. The court also rejected the plea from the YSR Congress leaders to allow them to appeal in the Supreme Court. They appealed to the high court to give protection to them for two weeks from being arrested. The court turned down the two pleas and maintained that it would not interfere with the police action.

As the court turned down the appeals of the YSR Congress leaders, the police have started looking for the leaders. The police went to the residence of former MP Nandigam Suresh. As he was not available in the house, they returned without arresting him.

The police are also likely to visit the houses of Jogi Ramesh, Lella Appi Reddy and Devineni Avinash in the next couple of days.
