The opposition BRS MLA on Thursday alleged that the Congress-led government in Telangana was tapping his mobile phone. BRS MLA Padi Kousik Reddy alleged that the Congress government was tapping his mobile phone. He addressed a press conference in Jammikunta of Karimnagar district on Thursday.

He told the media that the government was collecting even the personal data of the opposition party leaders. The government was also tapping the mobile phones of the police officers as well, he alleged. He said that the mobile phone of the Karimnagar Commissioner of Police and Manakonduru Circle Inspector were also being tapped.

The MLA alleged that the government had failed to waive the loans of the farmers. Only 40 percent of the farmers have received the benefit while the 60 percent of the farmers are yet to receive the loan waiver benefit, the BRS MLA alleged.

The MLA further said that he had the right to distribute cheques to the beneficiaries in his constituency. He said he tried to distribute some cheques to the farmers. The government schemes belong to the people and not the Congress leaders or the party, the MLA said.

He alleged that the Congress leaders who lost the 2023 general elections were distributing the cheques. Those who were defeated in the elections are participating in the government programmes, while the elected MLAs are kept in dark, the MLA alleged. He said that he would approach the Supreme Court and get justice done.
