The Andhra Pradesh police have found some conspiracy behind leaving three boats to the gates of Prakasam Barrage in the recent floods. Five boats from Gollapudi have come and hit the gates of the barrage during the floods.

The boats owner, Vakkalagadda Ushadri of Gollapudi is said to have left the boats untied in the waters. Though the fishermen told him to tie the boats tightly, he left them to their fate leading to the boats washed away to the gates of the barrage.

Ushadri is a close associate of Komati Rammohan of Surayapalem village near Gollapudi. Rammohan is a close relative of YSR Congress MLC Talasila Raghuram. He is also close to former MP Nandigam Suresh, the police said.

The police suspect that Ushadri left the boats untied anticipating that they would hit the barrage gates and cause damage to them. This in turn would cause damage to the state government, the police suspect. Each of the boat is to be tied to the bund tightly with a rope. But in this case the three boats were tied together and left in the waters, the police found.

The locals and some fishermen have told Ushadri to tie each of the boats to the bund but he did not care, the police said. He intentionally left the boats in the waters.

The boats were brought to Gollapudi a few days ago. Initially they are parked at Uddandarayunipalem in the Guntur district. The police are suspecting why these boats were brought to Gollapudi a few days before the floods to Krishna river.

Ushadri used to dredge sand during night with the help of Nandigam Suresh and Talasila Raghuram for the past five years. He is continuing the dredging work even now during the night time. He does this near Uddandarayunipalem in the river. The police are investigating into this issue as well.
