Asserting that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is responsible for the adulterated ghee allegations in the TTD laddus, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Botsa Satyanarayana, stated that all evidence points to his involvement and challenged to prove his innocence.

Speaking to the media at the party central office in Vishakhapatnam, Botsa Satyanarayana demanded that Chandrababu Naidu take responsibility for his role in the Tirumala prasadam issue and urged Naidu to stop misleading the public and instead face an inquiry to settle the matter. He also noted that petitions have already been filed in the Supreme Court by their party MP YV Subba Reddy and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, demanding a thorough investigation into the issue. Botsa urged the government to approach the court with the same commitment if they were truly sincere about resolving the matter.

Botsa stated that Chandrababu Naidu is using baseless claims about the Tirumala prasadam to distract from his government’s failures and unfulfilled promises. He said, following party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s instructions, special pujas were held across the state, praying for divine intervention to ensure that the repercussions of Chandrababu’s false allegations do not affect the people of the state. Botsa emphasized that these pujas were conducted to protect the state from any ill effects and to limit any divine consequences to Chandrababu himself.

Botsa also explained that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Tirupati visit was postponed to ensure peace and order, following conspiracies by TDP and BJP to create unrest. Notices were issued to leaders from Rayalaseema, and police inaction over BJP workers’ activities forced Jagan to defer his visit, said Botsa.

In addition to the Tirumala row, Botsa raised concerns about the ongoing privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He stated that this was the reason behind the dismissal of 4,000 contract workers, as the process of privatization was progressing rapidly. He questioned the government’s silence on the issue and demanded a clear stance from the ruling coalition on the future of the steel plant.
